Kinas 90 (eller 500) på topp
Her skal du få et lite glimt av Kinas ugjennomtrengelige nybilindustri. Registreringstallene for juli gir deg 90 merker og til sammen 500 modeller. En og annen du nok ikke ante fantes.
En av mine favorittblogger, Best Selling Cars dreier den seg om, bruker tall fra China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, CAAM, for å fortelle om et nybilmarked i svak nedgang i forhold til i fjor.
Minus 1,4 % til 2.387.000 biler. Derav 2,1 millioner personbiler (minus 3,4 %), resten var nyttebiler (opp 16,8 %).
Nå må man huske på at minus 1,4 % ikke er noen katastrofe, der sammenlikner man med juli fjor som var en rekordmåned og opp nesten 30 % i forhold til 2021.
Akkumulert er det også positivt, så langt ligger personbilene 6,7 % foran med totalt 13.368.000 så langt i år.
CAAM kan også fortelle at produksjonen har sunket – 4,3 % for personbiler, til 2.115.000 biler.
I motsetning til totalmarkedet har salget av NEVs, NY Energy Vehicles – slike med plugg – økt merkbart. Opp 32 % og nå har de en markedsandel på nesten 33 %. Akkumulert har de økt med 42 % til 4.526.000 og en markedsandel på 29 %.
Når du kommer til tabellene vil du se at BYD har økt med 39 % i juli og 65,4 % akkumulert, mens alle de fire etter har gått tilbake. Tesla som lå på åttendeplassen i juni er nå plutselig nede på 17.
Enda kjipere for Tesla er modell-statistikken. Den beste Teslaen, Model Y, var på første plass i juni, nå er den på åttende. Foran seg har den fire BYD, og det ligger en BYD rett bak også – det mangler bare 39 biler på at også den hadde gått forbi amerikaneren.
Men enda kjedeligere er det for Volkswagen. De har vært vant til å befinne seg på topp av alle registreringsstatistikker siden de kom til Kina for første gang på 80-tallet. Det gjør de ikke i år. Mens BYD økte med nesten 40 % i juli, gikk VW nesten 20 % tilbake og forskjellen mellom de to er nå 150.000 biler i BYD sin favør. I juli, isolert, ledet BYD med litt over 40.000 biler.

Prøv for eksempel å finne alle modellnavnene til Volkswagen i Kina, og sjekk hvor mange modeller Geely trengte for å selge 500.000 biler så langt i år.
